Each year, the ACS Annual Shabbaton offers families facing cancer an opportunity to step away from daily pressures and experience a Shabbos focused on encouragement, connection, and renewal.
More than fifty couples participate annually in a carefully planned weekend designed to create a supportive and uplifting environment. From the accommodation to the programming, every detail is arranged with sensitivity to the needs of participants and their families.
The Shabbaton provides a setting where attendees can share experiences with others who understand similar challenges. Through meaningful conversations, uplifting musical entertainment, and thoughtfully structured programming, participants are able to reconnect with hope and community.
For many families, the experience offers emotional strength that continues long after the weekend ends. The opportunity to pause, reflect, and feel supported within a warm communal environment makes the Shabbaton a deeply meaningful part of the ACS calendar.
It is not simply an event, but a reminder that even during difficult journeys, moments of inspiration and togetherness remain possible.
